Michael O’Reilly (b. 1988) graduated from the Royal Academy Schools and is a painter and a scenic artist for the Royal Opera House. His hallucinatory landscapes playfully investigate the psychological impact of hot, dark and remote climates and are reminiscent of literature from authors such as H.G. Wells and William Golding. O’Reilly is the recipient of the 2013 Royal Academy Keepers Print Prize as well as the 2017 Norah Lambourne Theatrical Design Award. Exhibitions include solo presentations of a survey of new works in 2020 at HSBC Private Bank, London and Saltwater at Cabin Gallery, London, 2015.
