Steve Macleod (b. 1965) is a fine art photographer who captures large format experiences of environmental auras that resist templates for topographically recording nature. He creates a stillness, a sense of extended present time. He is a MA Photography graduate from RGU Grays School of Art, Aberdeen and is the Senior Director at Metro Imaging in London. Represented by Black Box Projects, UK, Macleod regularly exhibits, recent showcases include the Royal Academy Summer Show in London and a major solo exhibition at Photo London, Somerset House in 2019. His works are held in both private and public collections, including the V&A Museum. Macleod is also a visiting Professor at UOS East Anglia; Trustee of the Queen Elizabeth Scholarship Trust and lifetime member of Frontline Club in London.
